Duration: 3hrs. Distance: 10km
Total Height Climbed: 160m

A nice walk along tracks and moorland but close to cliff edges - Note walking close to the edge of cliffs can be dangerous, these details are for info only.

We started at the farm buildings at Ramasaig and followed the track past the sheep pens and old bdgs and stayed on the track for about 2 - 2.5km until it started to drop down towards Lorgill where we broke right to keep the height. There are sheep tracks to follow if you look and we managed to skirt along the upper slopes with lovely views down to the ruined crofts and the bay. We kept the height and headed for the coast across some moorland before picking up the path north along the coastline rising up to The Hoe with lovely views up the coast towards Neist Point and also back south to the Cuillin and also MacLeods Maidens. The path here is easy to follow but there is some loose wire and you get fairly clost to the vertical cliffs so care is required. It is then a nice walk across towards Gob na Hoe where we stopped for lunch and to take in the views, lovely!Looking back to MacLeods MaidensThe steep cliffsMe at the highest point on the walk

From here the coastline drops down towards Hoe Rape and the rise up to Ramasaig Cliff and on the Waterstein Head can be seen ahead as well as Neist Point lighthouse. We soon dropped down to Hoe Rape and then swung back inland to head back to the start following some paths before climbing over the fence and following the burn back up to Ramasaig.Me after lunchNeist Point LighthouseLooking back up to Hoe Rape
